Executive Committee (ExCo)
The Executive Committee (ExCo) is the overarching body that coordinates the work of the various Standing and Working Committees of the Council. With their passion and dedication, the ExCo leads the Council in making decisions, designing initiatives and organising events. By looking out for and supporting fellow councillors in their work, the ExCo hopes to create a cohesive and warm environment for their fellow councillors. The ExCo will always strive to empower the 43rd Students' Council to soar to greater heights, for the interest of the school and welfare of the students.
President / Penny Shi Peng Yi
Penny has an almost unhealthy obsession with bread. Also, she is a lover of all things yellow - Pooh bear, minions, bananas, sunflowers, the song by Coldplay...... She hopes to spread joy to those around her and make Hwa Chong a happier place for everyone :)
Vice-President / Harris Song
Passionate about serving the students, Harris makes use of his weird sense of humor to invoke laughter and joy in those around him. He is humbled by the support the school has given him and will strive to forge a memorable Hwa Chong experience for everyone. Contrary to popular belief, Harris doesn't actually mug during his free time but rather spends it catching up on sleep, surfing the net and playing the piano. Harris should also consider taking up sports as a pastime given how unfit he is.
General Secretary / Ng Wen Kai
An avid music lover, Wen Kai is loud, bubbly and loves to be with his friends, cherishing every moment of life. A sentimental person, he greatly believes in leaving no regrets behind. If you ever need someone to talk with, do approach Wen Kai, the ever-reliable friend and listening ear!
General Secretary / Maxz Ho
In hopes of becoming a true Sunshine, this pliable, impressionable (and somewhat naive) boy went bald. If you squint hard enough, you probably would notice light rays reflecting off his shiny scalp. His scalp shines like a beacon in a dark ocean, testament to his ability to lead and guide.
General Treasurer / Darrick Poh
Darrick may seem rather awkward at first, but he's pretty friendly with people that he's comfortable with! With a strong passion in serving the school, you can count on him to get the job done. He hopes to make your life more vibrant and exciting!
ECACO Chairperson / Yiik Chia
Standing at a grand stature of 1.65m, beware as Yiik Chia mesmerises you with his melodious singing and sleek dance moves. His cheerful and bubbly attitude never fails to cheer up the lives of the people around him. He is also really approachable so if you need someone to talk to, feel free to meet him for a chat! (Please do so, or else he'll be a poor lonely soul)
PubCo Chairperson / Tan Guan Chwen
Hey everyone!! (•: I'm Guan!! I'm a generally optimistic and (I'd like to think) funny person who will always try to brighten everyone's day!!! Here's to PubCo and I making your days in HC better!!
SnR Chairperson / Zane Wong
Fully embodying the Blackout spirit, Zane Wong is zealous about serving the school. Despite being a Zheng An Lun Model Student and future President’s Scout, Zane can barely pass his 2.4. However, know that he will always go the extra mile in fulfilling your every need and desire.
WelCo Chairperson / Jaslyn Koh
YO! Jaslyn here. She’s your typical Hwachie… except slightly more high when with serious friends, and slightly more focused when with super enthusiastic friends. Some friends think she is cool, others find her really nice, or some think her jokes are just lame (when their puns are even worse).
