Social & Relations Committee (SnR)
The Social and Relations Committee (SnR) primarily seeks to connect and build strong bonds between the Council and the Student Body, as well as between each and every member of Hwa Chong. A two-pronged approach is adopted in fulfilling this aim; firstly by uniting and promoting cohesiveness amongst and across the respective Faculties (Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Athena), and secondly via the establishment of platforms for student representation. The committee also undertakes the responsibility of creating an exciting and dynamic school environment by supporting other student bodies in pushing out various school-based initiatives. Ad-hoc events and projects planned by the Committee further focuses on making school life more vibrant for staff and students alike. This eventually culminates in the forging of the Hwa Chong spirit, where Hwa Chong transcends boundaries to be a home for all to identify with.
SnR Chairperson / Zane Wong
Fully embodying the Blackout spirit, Zane Wong is zealous about serving the school. Despite being a Zheng An Lun Model Student and future President’s Scout, Zane can barely pass his 2.4. However, know that he will always go the extra mile in fulfilling your every need and desire.
Secretary-Treasurer / Alys Chia
Alys (pronounced Alice!) can be rather quiet by nature but once you get to know her, she can be really bubbly :) Besides having a passion for serving, her everyday goal is to make people around her smile! Don’t be afraid to say hi and ask for a lame joke!
Apollo Faculty Head / Ong Yinn Ray
This is Yinn Ray: a chill, smiley and tall dude who loves meeting new people and believes that life should be led to its fullest. If you see him around in school, don’t be afraid to say hi, or if you need some encouragement, ask him about his math homework!

Artemis Faculty Head / Liu Chun Xi
Hellllllooooo I'm Chunxi :) eating, dancing and friends are things that can make me really happy!! I am full of energy and positivity so I wish I can spread my joy and make Hwa Chong a happier place!

Artemis Deputy Faculty Head / Tee Zhi Zhang
Zhi Zhang is a friendly and bubbly person. If he's feeling high and happy, he may just dance, sing and hop around. If he's feeling down, you will just see him looking down with his music accompanying him. If you see him in school, say hi!
Athena Faculty Head / James Soh
There is something about the school that really speaks to my heart, and that is it's spirit. I have seen the unity among Hwa Chong students in pursuing common goals. It is this same spirit that pushed me to want to run for Council and to be a torchbearer of the Hwa Chong flame alongside all my fellow friends and students.
Athena Deputy Faculty Head / Lee Jia Ying
Being my cheerful and bubbly self, you can often see me smiling/laughing, and spreading positivity to the people around me! I enjoy the outdoors, photography and film-making. I'm also outgoing, adventurous and ready to take up challenges!
Ares Faculty Head / Keefe Ng
As the President of the 42nd High School Council and a recipient of the All-Round-Excellence award, Keefe has achieved many things, except one – breaking the 1.65m barrier. However, this has not dampened his spirit to serve the school, which unlike his height, goes to infinity and beyond!

Many people say that I look intimidating but I'm quite a chill and fun person to talk to. I think! YouTube is like my second home and I need my daily dose of winter melon tea to keep me going.
SNEC Coordinator / Jess Kerh
Bubbly and enthusiastic, Jess stands tall at a height of 152cm. However, her energy and devotion is definitely a lot larger than the number for her height and weight.
SNEC Coordinator / Kelvin Tai
To those who don’t know him well, Kelvin seems like the superb mugger. However, he still has a long way to go before attaining that state, preferring to focus on other things like organizing events as well as improving his public speaking at the expense of math and PW.
