ELECTIONS PROCESS
Councillors will be giving an introduction to the the Council structure and sharing about Council work, in an informal setting. There will also be a briefing on the procedure of elections. Students can also chat with councillors to get all their queries answered!
Candidates are required to:
1) Complete a sign up form at www.tinyurl.com/hcscsignups
2) Sign up for an interview slot on Google Calendar (http://tinyurl.com/hcscinterviews) by Friday, 24th February and undergo an interview from Monday, 27th February to Thursday, 2nd March
3) Print and complete an Interview Document accessible via the Elections website under the ‘Downloads' tab
The interview panel will consist of Council teachers and Council Executive Committee members.
Candidates are required to report to their holding rooms 15 minutes before their interview slots. They are to prepare 2 hard copies of their completed Interview Document to be handed in in the Holding Room.
Candidates will sign up for campaigning in pairs/individually after they are briefed on campaigning protocol. Group allocation will be released after Exposé II.
For the first Approval of Materials, candidates are to email their campaign proposal to 43hcsceleco@gmail.com by 2359h.
Approval of Materials 2 will be conducted outside the Council Room. One representative is to report at the Inner Plaza for attendance-taking; thereafter the approval of all campaign materials will take place. Please bring ALL your campaign materials of which could include the following: banner, posters, video, gimmick prototypes and materials for online campaigning. Budget check will also be conducted.
Groups will only be allowed to place approved banners from 0000h onwards.
All approved publicity materials can only be put up from 29/03 0000h onwards and must be taken down by 04/04 1600h.
On the day of Introduction of Candidates (IOC), All candidates are to report at their respective faculty venues at 0700h with a copy of your approved video, as well as any other approved materials that you will be using during your introduction.
All candidates will answer questions from their faculties.

Results will be announced via the PA system any time after 1600h. All candidates are to stay back in school to wait for the announcement and successful candidates are required to meet outside the Council room immediately after the release of the results for a briefing.
The above guide is only a summary of the process and does not contain all details found in the Elections Information Booklet found below or in the DOWNLOADS tab. The booklet also contains all rules and regulations of the elections as well as important contacts.
Groups will have to submit their IoC proposal, of which includes their script and powerpoint presentation for vetting by 2359h. Template of document will be uploaded at a later date.
