EVEREST
Inspired by the world's highest peak, Mt Everest, we believe that Everest symbolises our team's determination to strive for continual improvement to reach the peak of excellence. The word Everest consists of the letters "s", "e", "r", "v" and "e", which spells out "serve", indicating our passion and desire to be able to serve others to the best of our abilities.
Mt Everest also stands out majestically as a representative of the Himalayan Mountains, as we hope to be able to represent our faculty and the student body in various ways by joining the Students' Council.
Similar to how Mt Everest may seem like a massive challenge to those attempting to scale it, we are determined to overcome whatever obstacles or difficulties that may stand in our way and do our very best no matter where we are.
Scaling Mt Everest requires teamwork to succeed, and the theme of Everest indicates our willingness and ability to work in a team.
Our team hopes to emulate such values, and will require the support from our fellow Athenians as well as our fellow Hwachongians.
MEET THE GROUP
Dylan Wee
Dylan does everything to the best of his ability. Much like his astonishing looks, his passion and desire to serve others makes him stand out from the crowd. He strives for continual self-improvement and hopes to join the Students’ Council to make your school life more enjoyable.
Cyril Teo
Dedicated to causes he believes in, Cyril enjoys good music and caring for others’ well-being. Determined to see people happy, he tries to make people smile and is dedicated to helping those who need it, and making Hwa Chong a better place
Chen Zhihong
Zhihong is a caring individual who has a passion for serving others. He loves (listening to) music and may occasionally be found grooving to the beat. Although he becomes tired quite easily, he enjoys hanging out and bantering with friends.
Gui Ming Jiang
Ming Jiang is enthusiastic and fun-loving. With a sense of humour weirder than his personality, his jokes never fail to fall flat (i.e. this sentence). He is passionate in helping others and hopes he can help to make Hwa Chong a better place :)
