SOCIAL & RELATIONS COMMITTEE

 

The Social and Relations Committee (SnR) primarily seeks to connect and build strong bonds between the Council and the Student Body, as well as between each and every member of Hwa Chong. A two-pronged approach is adopted in fulfilling this aim; firstly by uniting and promoting cohesiveness amongst and across the respective faculties (Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Athena), and secondly via the establishment of platforms for student representation. The committee also undertakes the responsibility of creating an exciting and dynamic school environment by carrying out school-based initiatives that revolve around National Education, as well as ad-hoc events focused on making school life more vibrant for staff and students alike. Additionally, students are encouraged to take ownership of the school campus through activities centered on school cleanliness. These eventually culminate in the forging of the Hwa Chong spirit, where Hwa Chong transcends boundaries to be a home for all to identify with.
